100’s Day is
Here!
Hundreds day is
Thursday, January 17! We are celebrating
with a classroom party. We would greatly
appreciate any contributions to our celebration! Food items in groups of 100, food items that
look like the number 100 (for example pretzel sticks and oreos) or general
healthy snacks and treats. Thank you!

What We’re
Learning
Comprehension:
We are continuing our unit on inferences.
An inference is using what you already know plus evidence in the story
to draw a logical conclusion about the text.
Word
Study: We are learning the following digraphs: ch, sh, wh, and th.
Writing:
We are beginning our writing fiction unit.
Math: We are finishing our geometry unit and
beginning fractions, patterns, three-digit addition and subtraction.
Boxtops
Reminder
Our classroom is
collecting Boxtops for Education! Ms.
Klemenz and Ms. Betts will reward the scholar who turns in the most boxtops in
Quarter 3 with a prize from our treasure box!
Boxtops can be found on food products, paper products, and other
supplies from grocery and general stores.
